Behind the scenes...

An award-winning actor, filmmaker and producer, Jon has been working in film and television production both behind and in-front of the camera for over 20 years, writing, directing, producing and acting. His award-winning independent feature film Minus One (Winner, Best Narrative Feature, GI Film Festival), which he wrote and co-directed, is now available on Amazon Prime Video. As a writer-director, Jon’s work has also been featured on the Independent Film Channel, and garnered awards at festivals around the world, including his most recent short film Supper (Official Selection, Golden State Film Festival). As a film actor, Jon has worked alongside top directors such as Todd Haynes, Emilio Estevez, Andrew Neel, and Andy Goddard, and shared scenes with actors such as Anne Hathaway, Mark Ruffalo, Alec Baldwin, Jeffrey Wright, Patrick Wilson, Haley Bennett, and Ben Schnetzer. His most recent screenplay Springfield is currently available for feature or series development.

In the corporate world, Jon has served as writer, producer, director, videographer, animator and editor on hundreds of commercials, voice overs and industrials for clients all over the globe. As a photographer Jon has worked with corporate clients, assisted at celebrations and events in the private sector, and continues to develop his portfolio with personal editorials for which he has a passion.

On screen and stage...

In theaters soon, Jon can be seen in Dark Waters acting alongside Mark Ruffalo as the brother of Anne Hathaway’s character, under the direction of Todd Haynes. Jon can also be seen in The Public, a feature film written, directed by and starring Emilio Estevez, sharing scenes with Alec Baldwin, Christian Slater and Jeffrey Wright, the Paramount Pictures feature Goat as the college provost, and A Kind Of Murder (Jon Caar), a feature thriller starring Patrick Wilson and Jessica Biel from Sierra Pictures and Killer Films now available on Netflix. Jon was also seen in the Hallmark Channel’s movie The Christmas Spirit (Jerry Hart). Jon received Best Actor (Underneath Cincinnati) for his performance in the award-winning independent short film Eroded. Other credits include The Street Where We Live, Seven Songs About ThunderAccidents At Home And How They HappenMrs. Stevens Hears The Mermaids Singing and Minus One. On stage, Jon recently appeared in the regional premiere of Holmes and Watson (Watson) with CATCO, Looped (Danny Miller) at Evolution Theatre, CATCO's productions of Bengal Tiger At The Baghdad Zoo (Musa) and Next Fall (Adam) and Gallery Players World Premiere of Elijah's Angel (Dad). Jon received back to back honors from The Alive! for Best Male Theater Performance for his many roles in Stones In His Pockets (Charlie, Simon, Caroline, Fin, Mr. Harkin, Clem, Jock), and his ‘downright chilling’ performance in Frozen as Ralph Ian Wantage.

Jon's voice has been featured in commercials and industrials for several companies, including; HONDA, NATIONWIDE INSURANCE, KRAZY GLUE, CDW, BAYER, MCGRAW HILL, HUNTINGTON NATIONAL BANK, VALUE CITY FURNITURE, KROGER, NATIONAL GLASS RECYCLING CAMPAIGN and more. Dialects include Irish, Scottish, British, North American Non-Region Specific and Midwestern. Jon really enjoys when a project calls upon his wider range of voices like 1930's gangster, evil villain, news reel announcer, celebrity impersonations (both good and bad) and just plain goofy.
